Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert Appoints Del. Wren Williams To Virginia State Crime Commission

RICHMOND, VA – Today, Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert announced his appointment of Delegate Wren Williams (R – Stuart) to serve on the Virginia State Crime Commission.

“Delegate Wren Williams’ extensive legal background and his strong record of leadership on public safety in the House of Delegates make him an ideal choice to join the Virginia State Crime Commission and contribute to their important work,” said Speaker Gilbert.  “With Virginians’ continued concern over rising violent crime rates, I look forward to working with him in this capacity to make every community in our Commonwealth a safer place to live, work, and raise a family.”

“I thank the Speaker for trusting me to serve on this important commission to improve our criminal justice system,” said Williams. “This is not a responsibility I take lightly. In a time of rising crime rates and a ‘victims last’ mentality among far too many in our Commonwealth, I look forward to working with Speaker Gilbert to create a safer future for each and every Virginian.”

Wren Williams is the sitting delegate representing Virginia’s 9th House District, serving on the Committees on Public Safety, Privileges and Elections, and Courts of Justice. Since redistricting, Williams is running for re-election in Virginia’s newly-drawn 47th House District. Outside of politics, Wren lives with his wife, Britt, and son, Rhett, in Stuart, VA. Wren and Britt own and operate Schneider & Williams Law Firm.
