House Speaker, Delegate Todd Gilbert, Endorses Delegate Wren Williams for Re-election

STUART, VA – Today, Delegate Wren Williams, the Republican frontrunner for Virginia’s 47th House District, announced an endorsement from the Speaker of the House of Delegates, Todd Gilbert. Speaker Gilbert’s endorsement highlights the strong base of conservative support for Delegate Williams’ campaign and shows the continued momentum his campaign is building. Wren is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination in the new 47th House District.

“I am thankful for the support of Speaker Gilbert,” said Wren Williams. “Todd and I have been fighting for the rights of all Virginians in the House of Delegates. Together, we are fighting to expand gun rights, restrict abortion access, and increase religious liberty protections. I am proud of the work that we have accomplished, and I will continue to fight for our conservative values in Richmond.”

“Delegate Williams is the type of effective leader we need in Richmond,” said House Speaker Todd Gilbert. “Leaders like Wren don’t just talk, they get things done. Wren successfully passed religious liberty protections, fought for increased punishments for violent crime, and voted to protect our Second Amendment rights from the radical Democrats in the General Assembly. Wren is the type of fighter we need in the House, and I look forward to continuing to work with him to fight for our conservative agenda.”

Wren Williams is the sitting delegate representing Virginia’s 9th House District, serving on the Committees on Public Safety, Privileges and Elections, and Courts of Justice. Since redistricting, Williams is running for re-election in Virginia’s newly-drawn 47th House District. Outside of politics, Wren lives with his wife, Britt, and son, Rhett, in Stuart, VA. Wren and Britt own and operate Schneider & Williams Law Firm.
